特定秘密保護法に反対する牧師の会は2016年５月23日、伊勢志摩サミット（5月26日～）に参加されるG７首脳のみなさまにたいし、「伊勢神宮を参拝しないでほしい」というメッセージを送ることにしました。メッセージはキリスト教界のコネクションを通じて、各国首脳のみなさまへ手渡されます。
伊勢神宮は天皇神話に基づく神社（宗教施設）です。現在日本では、かつての国家神道体制への回帰の動きが強まっており、信教の自由が脅かされようとしています。日本の首相や野党党首は、政教分離原則違反の靖国神社・伊勢神宮の参拝を毎年恒例にしていることを見ても自明のことです。そのような状況下でＧ７の首脳が伊勢神宮に行くことは、このような状況を後押しするものであり、この国に生きるキリスト者にとっては受け入れがたいことです。英文では、伊勢神宮訪問の際、単なる表敬訪問のつもりでも、「宗教行為」に参加させられてしまう危険性がある、ということを明確にしました。

Participants of G7 Summit in Ise-Shima, Japan
We would like to welcome your visit to
Japan.
We pray that the meeting which will
discuss the importance of global issues will be fruitful.
According to our domestic media report,
the G7 participants will visit Ise Grand Shrine during the Summit. It is our honor that the participants will
see and experience our history and culture.
However, please be informed regarding
the historical background of Ise Grand Shrine: it is a Shinto religious sites
of the emperor of mythology. A visit to the Shrine is not merely a simple visit
to a historic site, but you may be required to participate and engage in the
Shinto rituals as an act of worship.
As you may have been aware, the movement
of the return to the State Shinto is growing, and the freedom of religion is in
extreme danger today in Japan. Hence,
the Summit leaders’ visitation, due to the lack of historical awareness, could
be dishonestly and deceitfully taken advantage.
We hope you will acquaint, familiarize,
and educate yourself about this movement and humbly request to be mindful
according to your own conviction before your
visit to the Shrine.

日本にようこそおいでくださいました。
世界の重要な課題を話し合うため、リーダーたちが集まる会合が実り豊かなものになるよう祈ります。
さて日本国内の報道では、サミット来日の折に皆さまが伊勢神社に行くとのことです。
日本の歴史や文化に触れていただくのは光栄なことですが、一点お願いと注意を促したくメッセージを送ります。
